History
The company was founded in February 1992 under the name “Hoch Temperatur Materialien und Geräte Prof. Reetz und Partner GmbH” by the brothers Prof. Teja Reetz and Dr. Roland Reetz as well as Wolfgang Hartmann.
Professor Reetz, chemist, contributed his knowledge of material development to the establishment of the company.
Dr. Reetz, who holds a doctorate in physics and is a trained mechanic, was responsible for equipment development and technical design.
Mr. Hartmann, who at the time was working as a funding consultant in Baden-Wuerttemberg, encouraged the brothers to found a joint company in order to channel the funds of Aufbau Ost into the funding of a “technology-oriented company”.

The location is a rented, former fire brigade garage in the Innovationspark Wuhlheide.
After the retirement of Mr. Hartmann, the company is renamed HTM Reetz GmbH.
The first high temperature furnace “LORA” from HTM was launched.
First participation in a trade fair in Madrid with a vibrating wire sensor for determining mass change of heated large-format samples.
Design and distribution of a technology for the production of SnO sputtering targets
Production of a bottom loading elevator furnaces with quartz glass bell jar for 1400 °C
Start of delivery of furnaces for crystal growth under conditions of microgravity in space
Vertical furnace for fiber drawing with gas-tight fiber channel made of joined SiC sections
Contract acceptance for the construction of a kinetic test facility (KIVAN)
